We Have a Dream

TPC volunteers continue donating time and resources; speaking for the animals of Northern Kentucky, and ensure justice for all creatures. As a community, we must face the tragic fact - many adoptable, loving pets are put to sleep each year; there simply are not enough resources to accommodate the number of homeless animals.

We dream of an animal adoption center where TPC Animal Rescue can work in conjunction with local shelters to optimize local resources. An adoption center in Boone County is possible, but due to a lack of donations, the dream has been marked "insufficient funds”. Dr. Martin Luther King Junior said, "…But we refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt".

We refuse to believe that people don't care. The volunteers can not walk alone through this journey; we need the help of Boone County and our neighboring counties to join together. In 2008, the population in Boone County alone was over 115,000 people. If every person in the county donated just $1.25 to the dream we would have sufficient funds to make the adoption center a reality.

The county shelters can only do so much to provide the second chances so many animals need. With government funding their hours and assets are limited; together the citizens of Northern Kentucky can aid TPC in making up the difference. The adoption center can provide adoption opportunities when the shelters are not open; it can allow people to keep their pets while looking for new homes with professional assistance.

In addition to providing adoption prospects, TPC sees the adoption center as a hub for community education, pet training, basic grooming tips and continuing education seminars for animal care professionals. The center will be designed to accommodate kittens and puppies, cats and dogs; pet daycare is also a possibility in the future.

TPC can purchase the necessary building and land for an adoption center for between $175,000 and $250,000 in Boone County. For less than the price of a coffee, you can make a difference. TPC Animal Rescue is a 501c3 charity in the state of Kentucky, so donations are tax deductible. Donations to out adoption center can be monetary or serice contributions when the time comes to remodeling and running the center.

TPC Animal Rescue has a dream, please join us in this dream, and together we can make a difference for the unwanted and homeless animals of Northern Kentucky. Please pledge to save the animals in your own county, in your own city.
