Happy Tails
Here are some successful adoption stories that we'd like to share.  Also, there are pictures of the group and some of the pets we've rescued.

Belinda is now Bella, and is doing well. She loves, loves, loves her family, she has separation anxiety if she is not with one of usJ She is such a good girl though. She had her 3rd vet visit and her last set of shot and she had gained 9lbs in a matter of 3 weeks but she is far from fat, she is very lean, long and tall. Just as beautiful as ever. Thanks for saving her, we are so happy we found her and we are really hoping once we move and getting a bigger yard to give her a buddy to romp withJ so we will be in touch to see what dogs you have when that time comes around.

Damien does his bunny impression

Hi  we adopted Damien about 2 months ago and he is WONDERFUL!!!!  We enjoy him so much and he is very happy!!!!! We wanted you to know that he went to a great home and is well taken care of. Thank you so much for letting us adopt him and becoming such a joy to us.  Keep up the great rescue work that you do to provide needy animals loving homes.

Over 3 years ago, using the Petfinder website, we adopted a white female standard poodle puppy from TPC to be a companion to our male standard.
Kenzie is now 4 and is a constant joy to all of us...she is the happiest dog in the world.  Attached is a picture (she's on the left) with our 8 year old.
Thank you and God bless you for the work that you do.
Lu Ann Stanley, Dayton, Ohio

Jazzy made it to Alaska safe and sound.  What a
SWEETIE!  She was so excited when she got out of her kennel.  She covered us with kisses like she knew she was home.  She has already taken to the snow.  We give her a bath when he got her home and I am sending you pictures of her here with her new family.  As you can see from the pictures, she has claimed the couch, has made herself right at home and LOVES her new sister Nala (also a whippet mix). Nala and Jazzy being both Whippets have the same exact engery and all the same personality traits.  The have played non-stop for the last hour and are having a ball!  You should see the two run side by side....it's so cute.

I wanted you all to know that Jazzy made the long journey here and traveled well and as you can already tell has become and instant member of the family.

For all you have done, we thank you as does Jazzy, she is very happy girl!

We will continue to send updates and pictures, to put your mind at easy that she
is happy, healthy and very much loved!

THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH!

Mika's new name is Layla. I'm a big Eric Clapton fan. She's is doing great!! It was kinda like that movie where she tells the guy, "You had me at hello." She's a wonderful dog.

 Shooter (formely Magnum)
We adopted him at petsmart at the end of May of this year. (2009)

He has turn to be our little spoiled baby..... He is always running and playing with us.... but loves to cuttle on the couch to watch some TV as well. He is very smart and we love him very much!!!!

Thanks & regards,
Myriam

Winnie - Picture Perfect!

It's been about two years since I met Winnie (formerly Frankie-Girl).  She is doing very well and I can't imagine not having her!  My family, who was very reluctant about me taking another dog, is also completely in love with her!  A few months ago, I had some portraits taken and though you would like to see how well adjusted she is!

Vinny - Sporting some Santa "Bling Bling"

Vinny aka Roni is having the time of his life. He's getting along with his new mom and Joey the cat.

Rhoda took him to the groomer on Sat. and look at him now!!!!!! He's doing very well in his new home. Check out his Santa scarf.

Missy - from puppy mill to life of luxury!

After being rescued from a puppy mill, Missy was spayed and adopted to a wonderful couple.  Missy can live a happy life now, Just in time for Christmas! Right now she is sleeping.--You can see by her picture, she is now living the life she always deserved.

Nuxhall, rounding third and heading for... the couch!

Just a note to update you on Nuxy. What a sweet dog! We're looking for obedience classes now. We are also in the process of trying to find a fenced agility training facility. His favorite human friend is my 4 year old grandson, it's pretty awesome watching them together. He's found a favorite spot on the couch, loves playing tug of war, but he hates being left outside alone. He does love going to the park and taking walks. He is extremely interested in squirrels and cats, though he hasn't exactly been close to either as of yet.

He has been a great addition to our family and I imagine that things will only get better!

Charlie (formerly Tito) finds love!

Charlie is doing great. He is still very affectionate.  He’s getting along with people, including strangers, much better.  I love him so much!!  He is the perfect dog for me!

Greta is doing "great-a"!

Greta is doing awesome!  She is the sweetest thing.  She is still pretty clingy and wants to be right next to me at all times.  Even sleeping at night she has to have her head, or paw, or something touching me through the night.

She has gained some weight and looks great.  Her favorite game is to play ball in the back yard.  She is so smart that if I sit at the table and throw the ball into the yard she brings it back and sets it down in the chair right next to me

Millie, helping to make tough days bearable

My friends at school are amazed that she has already caught onto the routine so fast. She is just wonderful!! She has only had a couple of accidents and they were not her fault- it was more a matter of us not watching the time. I am so happy to have her.

We have so many behaviorally troubled students in our class this year that I look so forward to going home to her. She makes my day bearable! I have enclosed a picture of Millie and my daughter together.

Tommy the snuggler has a new best friend!

I just wanted to let you know how Tommy's doing.  He has done very well acclimating himself and endearing himself into our little family.  He is such a sweetie.  Ian is every minute getting more and more comfortable around him and I don't think it'll be long before they're good friends.

I've attached a couple pictures for you.  One is of Ian and Tommy sharing Tommy's downstairs bed which Ian thinks is so neat.  The other is of Tommy absolutely passed out in the middle of Ian's room - I guess all the action and the walks really tired him out.  It was hysterical.

Ned's New Family Loves Their New Camper!

Ned's first camping trip was great.  He is such a great dog everybody loves him.

Ned and Clayton have become best friends Clayton wants to take him everywhere.  They had a blast this weekend; Clayton just about walked Ned's legs off.

Thank you so much!  Ned is a great dog!

Gaining Faith

We thought we would send you another update on Faith.  We celebrated her 1 year birthday this month with a doggie treat, and finished our Intermediate Obedience class, in  which she won the "Most Improved" ribbon!

She's learned so much!  We are loving every minute of having her in our family.  Enclosed are a few pictures.  As  you can see, she often finds herself in the lap of luxury - she likes to sprawl out in front of the electric heater, whether someone else is already there, or not.

A Great Family for Seven

Seven was a kitten that TPC rescued.  Her new family has sent an update letting us now how happy they were with her!

"Seven is growing like a weed and just sweet as can be.  She is trying to sit on my keyboard as we speak.  She has taking quite a shine to my children, and her and Reggie (my other cat) have really bonded and enjoy each others company.  We are so happy to have her in our family."

Millie Finds A Happy Home

Millie is still just the most wonderful dog!! She still hasn't had any accidents at all in the house which is unbelievable! We take her outside on a regular basis to go potty in the "potty area" of the yard and she goes out to do her thing as if she has been with us forever.

She just has the best personality I have ever seen in a dog! You had her so well socialized...she just gets along with everybody.

She is lovely and cuddly and yet she likes to play and run around, too. She is just the best!!!

Just thought I’d send this to you with our heartfelt thanks for your assistance in connecting us with Marley.  .  Our dog Muffin is learning to play with Marley – they romp about the bedroom at 6Am, Marley ‘tags’ Muffin and Muffin tries to catch Marley before he runs under the bed or jumps onto the back of a chair.  Marley has won our son over too, routinely spending time sleeping next to him as he sits on the couch.  A really terrific kitten that my Lorie is now agreeing was worth the drive.  Thanks again.  Take care, The Mike & Lorie

A Happy Home for Lola

Lola was adopted out to a family in 2005.  Her family writes:

"She has been an amazing addition to our family.  Everyone loves her
and she is completely at home here.  She even sleeps in bed between my husband and myself.  At this moment she is on the sofa watching TV.

I am so glad that we were able to give her a home.  She is
absolutely precious.  Keep doing the great work that you are doing
rescuing animals and finding homes for them.  I can't imagine our lives
without Lola!

Basha, A Playful Dog

Basha keeps on growing.  She's due for her last set of shots this weekend, so after that I cant wait to get her to the dog park.

To update you so far, she's doing great on the leash and with her sit commands. She also loves playing with the water hose which is really neat as she is the first water loving dog I have ever had.

She's mildly obsessed with the cats, but backs off when they hiss and swat.  The cats aren't too happy, but they are all working it out slowly.
Typically I take her for a brisk walk in the morning and then to the backyard for some playtime.  I take her back out to the yard when her energy levels climb and she seems to need a run.

Then Libby walks her in the evening.  So we keep her busy as best we can.  Potty training is going well. She is a great pup and we love her.

Polly, A Happy and Spoiled Princess

My husband and I, Joyce and Mike Shelton, adopted Polly on July 8th at Petsmart. We have to tell you that Polly is thriving and becoming more and more spoiled each day.

Adam and Abby, Together Again

Adam (far left) was adopted a year and a half ago and had been such a blessing, that when his sister was returned to the rescue a couple of months ago, the family which adopted Adam, decided to reunite the two and offer Abby (center) the same "forever" home.

This adoption was a miracle, truly a blessing for Abby and Adam. Both are doing wonderful!

Thank You Terry & Joyce for providing such a GREAT home.

In Memory of Jake, A Miracle Case

This is Jake, one of TPC's President's favorite rescues.

Jake was a Dearborn Rescue, and came in very thin.  When he was neutered, he had a complication which lead him to the Emergency room late at night and back to our regular vet's office clear into the next day, as his complication lead to non-stop bleeding.

It was during this time, his "pre-selected" family met Jake for the first time and sat with TPC's president for hours holding Jake at the vet's office.

It was the "prefect family" and truly a blessing from God, as Jake went home with them after he was stablized, and they continued his care.

As you can see, he is Gorgeous, and healthy, and just completed his Doggy training.

This is proof God is with the Mission. Thank You Lord, for Jake and his family!!

Huey: A Dog with a Broken Leg and a Huge Heart

Huey had a broken leg when he came into TPC.  He was rescued from a neighbor’s back yard.  He had no shelter and a broken leg that the owner had no intentions on fixing the situation or the broken leg.  Thankfully, the owner agreed to allow us to rescue him, so he could get the medical attention he needed, and find a new home.

Huey was adopted in January 2007.  He is happily living in his new home and weighs 70 lbs.  There are no complications from his broken leg.

Huey’s new mom, Tracey, decided to have a party to introduce him to friends and decided to turn it into a Benefit where all proceeds were donated to TPC to help save more animals like Huey.

The Benefit was a success and TPC is very thankful for Tracey’s love for not only Huey but every other dog that is in a shelter or a bad situation like Huey was.

The compassion and dedication from people like Tracey is what makes TPC what it is: A great rescue with a great mission to help all of God’s creatures.
