Happy Tails
Here are some successful adoption stories that we'd like to share.  Also, there are pictures of the group and some of the pets we've rescued.

Goldie: A Treasure

In June, TPC had Goldie for adoption. A Golden Mix 3 years old.

Goldie's new "Mommy", Tammy, wrote to say how the adoption has changed her and her family's life. Here is what she said:

We decided we needed a fresh start and a symbol of a new beginning for all of us.

She is really amazing! She is house trained and loves to take naps on the floor at the end of my bed. She has already learned to play soccer with the boys and will sit and not touch a biscuit until she is told it is okay. I can't believe how well trained she is, or that anyone would be foolish enough to ever give her up.

Goldie is such a blessing to us. We are so happy to have her in our lives.

Polly, A Happy and Spoiled Princess

My husband and I, Joyce and Mike Shelton, adopted Polly on July 8th at Petsmart. We have to tell you that Polly is thriving and becoming more and more spoiled each day.

Adam and Abby, Together Again

Adam (far left) was adopted a year and a half ago and had been such a blessing, that when his sister was returned to the rescue a couple of months ago, the family which adopted Adam, decided to reunite the two and offer Abby (center) the same "forever" home.

This adoption was a miracle, truly a blessing for Abby and Adam. Both are doing wonderful!

Thank You Terry & Joyce for providing such a GREAT home.

Jake, A Miracle Case

This is Jake, one of TPC's President's favorite rescues.

Jake was a Dearborn Rescue, and came in very thin.  When he was neutered, he had a complication which lead him to the Emergency room late at night and back to our regular vet's office clear into the next day, as his complication lead to non-stop bleeding.

It was during this time, his "pre-selected" family met Jake for the first time and sat with TPC's president for hours holding Jake at the vet's office.

It was the "prefect family" and truly a blessing from God, as Jake went home with them after he was stablized, and they continued his care.

As you can see, he is Gorgeous, and healthy, and just completed his Doggy training.

This is proof God is with the Mission. Thank You Lord, for Jake and his family!!

Huey: A Dog with a Broken Leg and a Huge Heart

Huey had a broken leg when he came into TPC.  He was rescued from a neighbor’s back yard.  He had no shelter and a broken leg that the owner had no intentions on fixing the situation or the broken leg.  Thankfully, the owner agreed to allow us to rescue him, so he could get the medical attention he needed, and find a new home.

Huey was adopted in January 2007.  He is happily living in his new home and weighs 70 lbs.  There are no complications from his broken leg.

Huey’s new mom, Tracey, decided to have a party to introduce him to friends and decided to turn it into a Benefit where all proceeds were donated to TPC to help save more animals like Huey.

The Benefit was a success and TPC is very thankful for Tracey’s love for not only Huey but every other dog that is in a shelter or a bad situation like Huey was.

The compassion and dedication from people like Tracey is what makes TPC what it is: A great rescue with a great mission to help all of God’s creatures.

Michelangelo, A Pomeranian Masterpiece

"Michelangelo was adopted to my Aunt. I just want to thank you again, as she is so happy with him! You have no idea how he has brightened her spirits.

His name has been shortened to ‘Mickey'. He is extremely well behaved and has made himself right at home, just like he has been there his whole life.

He sleeps with my Aunt every night. The neighbor kids come down to take him on a walk just about everyday, as she cannot walk very far before she gets tired and Mickey wants to keep going! He loves to walk and does very well on a leash.

Again, thank you for all you do! God certainly has an angel in you doing a great service rescuing these beloved creatures that He created!! God bless you and yours!!"
