J. Berry Founder/President

J. Berry founded TPC after rescuing Libby (An All American Mix Breed) from a local shelter while volunteering.

J decided to sell a 28 acre farm which she inherited from her Grandparents, to start up the rescue mission in Northern Kentucky, and feels this is the mission God has called upon her.

J has no children, but has been married for 10+ years and has three canine kids (Rosco, Jr. and Libby) and a kitty named Mila.

J is no stranger to animals, as she was raised outside Tampa on a 30 acre farm which cared for Greyhounds and Quarter Horses.  She also worked as a Veterinary Assistant for a short time.

TPC was founded on the Christian values and beliefs.

J is very active in TPC and works very closely with all foster parents, and volunteers.

Tracey V.P

Raised in New York, Tracey and her Mother spent many hours in the show rings.

Tracey has always felt compassion to animals, and when she moved to Kentucky with her family, she started volunteering at Boone County Animal Shelter, where she learned of TPC.

Since, her membership with TPC Tracey has been very active as a foster parent,Transport work, and much more. Based on her experience and ability to communicate well, Tracey was voted as V.P in the year 2007.

Tracey runs a full time schedule as she is a Mother of two teenagers, a Wife, and full time special needs teacher.

We are Blessed to have Tracey as part of the TPC family!

Tracey currerntly has seven dogs, three cats, four horses, and a Bird. Tracey resides on 11 + acres in Verona, KY

Chris, Secretary

Chris joined our team in January 2004. She first learned of TPC Animal Rescue when we still had a small Second-Hand pet supply store at Richwood Flea Market. She became very active in the rescue when we moved into the center in Erlanger. With the support and dedication from Chris, the rescue was able to make the transition into a Foster Care Program, which has helped turn the rescue around.

Along with working with Homes for Greyhounds, DreamHouse Ferret Rescue and being an active member of her church, Chris always finds the time for her family, which includes her husband, daughter and her four legged kids.

Chris, and her kids. All her pets are rescues, including Homes For Greyounds, and WoodStock in Lexington.

Melanie, Treasurer

Melanie joined TPC in the beginning of 2006.  Melanie is an owner of Work 4 Treats Dog Training, LLC established in 2005.

Melanie has been training dogs for 2½ years.  She has owned rescue dogs her entire life and loves working with shelters/rescues to help make sure dogs stay in their forever home.

Melanie's canine kids include, Ladi Bug, a black lab/rottie (according to the rescue) which has attended many classes including agility, beginning tracking, and multiple obedience classes and earned her AKC Canine Good Citizen title, and Gasha an Australian Shepherd adopted from SAAP.

Melanie is a professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers.  On top of all this canine knowledge, Melanie is a CPA.  She has taken over the position of Treasurer for TPC.

Kelly
Website Coordinator & Newsletter Writer

Kelly came to TPC in 2006.  Her interest in web design made her a good fit as the website coordinator for the rescue.  Her love for writing and compiling articles has also made her a fit for the newsletter writing.

She is one of our "kitty girls", as she sometimes fosters kittens and cats for TPC.  She currently has 5 cats (Annika, Figaro, Tiger, Sergio & Jaq).

Although she has many cats, she loves all animals.  Three of her cats are purebred Bengals.

Kelly is originally from MI but moved to Northern KY for her job in 2004.  Hoping to help animals and find a new outlet for her love for cats and dogs, she emailed TPC to see if there could be a place for her.

She has helped with transporting many cats to and from the vet offices before and after their spays/neuters but primary position in the rescue is the website and newsletter.

Nina, Foster Parent and Volunteer

Nina (on the left, shown here with Kelly Ann) is another one of our exceptional volunteers.

Nina has helped with several animals including Shelby Lynn and Oreo (whom she dog-sat for while her milk dried up). She also worked as a puppy daycare for Vanity, Tori, and Prince (the poodle puppies).  In addition, she fostered and provided a forever home for Scruffy. She also helps TPC with picking up donations.

In addition to her work with TPC, Nina enjoys volunteering at Boone County Animal Shelter.

Nina and her husband, Kurt, also helped host a Girl Scout tour with Hebron Animal Hospital offering the opportunity for TPC to collect many needed items.

We are blessed to have Nina as a part of our rescue!

Kelly Ann, Foster parent and volunteer

Kelly Ann Perry is another one of the many volunteers with our animal rescue.  A nurse by trade, Kelly Ann enjoys her job working as a professional in the Pharmaceutical Research Industry.

Kelly Ann loves all types of animals, especially cats.  She has three cats of her own: Cassie, Tommy and Tigeress.

Kelly Ann has done a number of interesting volunteer tasks for TPC. She has fostered a couple of cats and some kittens.  Kelly Ann has also assisted in nursing some of the sick kittens to health, when needed, prior to their adoption.

In the summer of 2006, she appeared on Channel 9 (WCPO) News, for the Saturday morning Shelter segment.  She has helped to provide other support, such as transportation to Veterinarian visits, and cleaning cages at Petsmart.

Thanks for all your help, Kelly Ann!
